Classic Car Brunch Meet
Held at the Old Bell public house, near Grazeley, the Club’s Classic Car Brunch Meet is a regular mid-morning gathering offering classic car owners or enthusiasts an opportunity to meet up and socialise in an informal setting. There are no restrictions on marque or style, whether it’s a classic, vintage, veteran, modern classic, or unique models, we welcome them all. The meet starts from 10 am in the main car park, look for the Club flag. This is a free event open to everyone with no booking required – just turn up on the day! Parking however is limited and not guaranteed, so we would appreciate if those attending please park sensibly and within the pub car park. A range of food and drink can be purchased separately from the venue. There are no restrictions on marque or style, whether it’s a classic, vintage, veteran, modern classic, or unique models, we welcome them all. The meet starts from 7 pm in the main car park, look for the Club flag. This is a free event open to everyone with no booking required – just turn up on the day! Parking however is limited and not guaranteed, so we would appreciate if those attending please park sensibly and within the pub car park. A range of food and drink can be purchased separately from the venue. If you wish to have a sit down meal then it is advisable to reserve a table with the pub in advance as Friday nights can get busy. Club Show - Classics in the Park
The Woodley Carnival is a long-established family-friendly community show held in Woodford Park featuring a variety of local stalls, funfair, ringside displays, and entertainment, including a street procession with elaborate floats which tours the streets of Woodley before arriving on-site mid-afternoon. For many years the Hants & Berks Motor Club has supported the Woodley Carnival with the classic car display and have been allocated a large area of the show field, therefore we are looking for members to come join us on the day, either to display their vehicle, help set up or talk with the public. We would also welcome fellow motor clubs who wish to set up their own small display, and individual owners not associated with any club. There are no restrictions on marque or style, whether it’s a classic, veteran, vintage, modern-classic, sport car, or more rarer and unusual models. We welcome cars, motorcycles, tractors, and small emergency, military, or light commercial vehicles. Why not bring a picnic or sample the many food stands available, and have a pleasant day socialising with fellow enthusiasts and enjoying the show. The show opens to the public at 12 noon, but display vehicles must arrive on site between 9.30 am and 10.45 am, after which you may not be allowed in. The event finishes at 4.30 pm. Each display vehicle will receive two free show tickets, collected upon arrival, with an “exit bucket” collection for the Club’s president’s charity on leaving. Admission prices apply to standard show visitors. Please note, this is a pre-booked event and spaces are limited. If you are interested in forming part of the classic car display then please inform the event contact before Sunday 7th June.
