Monday 16th October 2017

The month of October marked a new milestone in the history of the Hants & Berks Motor Club with the publication of the 800th edition of our monthly Club magazine, Sidelights. In order to celebrate this record occasion, the 800th edition features a series of special contributions written by our committee members and has been made available to view and enjoyed by all by clicking HERE (PDF) - contents are copywrite free.

Sunday 15th October 2017

Sunday saw David Pegg from the CSMA Farnborough Group host their annual Topographia event, a map reading navigation event using mostly photographs as clues. A mixture of crews from several regional motor clubs – including four from our own – took part on yet another enjoyable event spread across the Berkshire/Oxfordshire countryside.

Thursday 30th March 2017

Members had the opportunity to get involved with the running of the Club on Thursday evening with the Annual General Meeting. The event was followed by the annual awards presentation which rewarded nominated members for their hard work over the past year.

Sunday 19th March 2017

Eight teams took part in Sundays Pairs Point-to-Point navigation scatter, the Club's 60th running of this car-based team treasure hunt.
Congraluations to Pam Roper, Roger Blackmore Squires, Malcolm and Margaret Royston who finished as top H&BMC team.

Following a few twists and turns we hope everyone enjoyed the day. This was Martin Boyes last Pairs event as organiser, next year will see the return of David Madgwick and OS map 186 - so we hope to see you then!

Sunday 16th October 2016

Sunday saw the annual running of the CSMA Farnborough Group's Topographia Rally, a unique map reading event where clue locations are determined by topographical features found on an Ordnance Survey map. Organised by CSMA member David Pegg, this years event saw 25 crews take part, 4 of which from the Hants & Berks,

Friday 24th June 2016

Friday evening saw the return of the Hants & Berks Motor Club's annual Walking Rally, a navigation event without the need to drive!
Organised by Malcolm and Margaret Royston, teams this year found themselves searching for clues aroudn the historic Hampshire town of Alton.

Thursday 31st March 2016

March's monthly evening once again saw the Club hold its Annual General Meeting which was followed by the annual awards ceremony which are designed to celebrate nominated members of the Club for their dedication and hard work over the past year.
