Evening Social - Club Pub Quiz

The Clubs first monthly social gathering of the new year sees the return of our ever-popular Pub Quiz. Following the traditional trivia quiz format, teams will need to answer a series of questions across various themed rounds (general knowledge, film, politics, geography, pot luck, for example), plus there’s the added opportunity for gaining bonus points!
The event promises to be a highly entertaining evening suitable for all ages and skill levels.
As a guide, we usually look to form teams of about six people and it would be great if numbers attending allowed us to have at least five teams as a minimum.
Further Information
This event is open to all Club members, accompanying friends and family members, and non-Club members.
Attendance is free with no advanced booking required – although we would appreciate if non-Club members could confirm their attendance with the organiser beforehand please.
The event starts at 8pm and should finish no later than 10pm.
A range of meals are available at the venue, so why not arrive early and grab a bite to eat before the meeting.
Location
The Raven (Hotel & Pub), Hook, Hampshire, RG27 9HS.

The 26th Early Bird Classic & Sports Car Tour

The Early Bird is a road-based tour offering owners of classic cars a rare opportunity to head out on the open road on a day’s leisurely drive with fellow enthusiasts.
First run in 1995 the Early Bird successful launched the Club into the world of classic car events and is still going strong today.
After being flagged off the start line at Woodley, near Reading, participants navigate a carefully pre-planned scenic route before arriving at the events finish location. The route is around 80 miles and keeps mainly to ‘A’, ‘B’ and minor roads as much as possible – ideal for classic car motoring. The route is split into two parts, stopping at Rakes Garden Centre, near Liss, for those who require a comfort break.
This year the event will finish at the Tangmere Military Aviation Museum near Chichester (PO20 2ES). The museum is housed at a former RAF airfield established in 1918 which witnessed much action during the Second World War. Participants can enjoy an impressive display of aircraft and memorabilia stretching from the First World War to the Cold War, including interactive displays and simulators. There is also an on-site NAAFI tea room serving light refreshments. For further details regarding the museum, please visit their website by CLICKING HERE (opens new page).
